Business ProfilesMarch 1, 2007Commuter Cars Corporation
Every commuter knows that the current system of driving alone to and from work in heavy traffic is crazy, yet there hasn't been any real alternative. Until Commuter Cars came along, no one could buy their way out of a traffic jam without climbing on a motorcycle. We're changing all that with the introduction of the two-seat Tango. The Tango is a glimpse into the future of commuting. Lane doubling, lane splitting, and perpendicular parking will become commonplace. Traffic-induced headaches and lost time will fade into the past. No more worries about safety as you're ballasted for flat-out cornering stability and protected by a racing-certified roll cage designed to protect you and your passenger. Park in places you wouldn't even dream of in a Mini Cooper. Emission-free and exciting, the electric Tango T600 is designed to beat most sports cars in the quarter mile with acceleration from 0 to 60 mph in just 4 seconds and a top speed of 150 mph! And yes, this IS a picture of George Clooney with his Tango! How to Order a Tango Commuter Cars is now accepting orders with fully refundable deposits for the Tango T600 kit and for the Tango T200 and T100 production vehicles. Production of the ultimate high-performance, luxury Tango T600 is underway. They are being delivered as mostly-assembled kits requiring less than a day to complete. The T200 and T100 production vehicles are expected to be available in 2008 and 2009, respectively, depending on funding. Production vehicles require investment in the tens of millions of dollars for engineering and tooling to allow reasonable part costs. Several investors with the capability of funding Commuter Cars to this level are showing serious interest, however, they need the assurance that there is a market for the vehicles at prices that are profitable. The only way to demonstrate this definitively is to have a large number of orders with deposits. Therefore, in order to show investors that there is a market, we're requesting that any of you who are interested in a production Tango, even if it's 2 to 3 years away, place an order now with a fully refundable deposit. Your deposit will be kept in a neutral escrow at Adept Escrow, located at: 107 E. Magnesium Rd., Spokane, WA 99208-5968. The funds are in customers' names and can be withdrawn at any time without penalty and without requiring Commuter Cars' consent. You would only lose your place on the waiting list. To secure a place in the build sequence for a production Tango, a fully refundable deposit is required. When your vehicle is assigned a manufacturing date you will be asked to confirm the order and select the color and any appropriate options. Please download, complete, and return the reservation form with your deposit.
