Our Mission SNAP works for low-income and vulnerable people by: * Providing human services, housing and economic opportunities in a manner, which enhances dignity * Advocating for programs, policies and resources that maximize individual capacities and promote communities Range of services Since 1966, SNAP has helped homeless and low-income families, children and seniors. As a private, non-profit Community Action Agency, SNAP's goal is to help families and individual's transition from crisis to self-sufficiency, building new and healthy futures. As the largest private human services agency in Spokane County, SNAP staff focus on serving the whole family and are committed to providing a wide-range of accessible services to those living in poverty. SNAP's neighborhood offices are positioned to provide the most basic of human needs that many of us take for granted. SNAP has an Energy Assistance Program that does home inspections, provides conservation education, and minor home repairs and weatherization.
