| STA is working to reduce pollution in Spokane. We are now running 3 hybrid buses and are in the process of purchasing six more. We received a grant of $268,500 to retrofit eighty-three (83) vehicles (city buses) with the Donaldson Spiracle Crankcase Filtration System (we expect a 90 to 100% reduction in crankcase emissions); and
the Donaldson passive Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) / Low Temperature Filter (LTF) muffler (we expect a greater than 90% PM reduction). |
